Monday Tech Talks: National Internet Safety Month Webinar Series
90-minute Webinar
June 23, 2025
2:00 - 3:30 pm ET
June is National Internet Safety Month.
As part of the NDAA’s commitment to bolstering online safety for children we are bringing you a series of webinars in the month of June to provide law enforcement, prosecutors, their investigators and other members of the prosecution team with a comprehensive understanding of how to work with and gather digital evidence from a variety of digital platforms. We are also highlighting the work being done by non-governmental organizations and other organizations to protect children online. This series has been made possible with the support of Kodex.
On June 23, 2025, a representative from Snapchat will join us to discuss their law enforcement response programs. These sessions will cover an introduction to the platform and its safety measures, what records are maintained, and the collaboration process to request information. Attendees will learn about the types of data available, and the platform’s safety initiatives.
We will also hear from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) a private, non-profit whose mission is to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, and prevent child victimization. NCMEC works with families, victims, private industry, law enforcement, and the public to assist with preventing child abductions, recovering missing children, and providing services to deter and combat child sexual exploitation.
We will also hear from Kay Chau, Vice President of Programs and Member Success at the Tech Coalition, a global alliance of tech companies working together to protect children from online sexual exploitation and abuse. Her presentation will highlight knowledge and solutions sharing among industry that have increased their capacity to detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, focusing particularly on insights from the Tech Coalition’s newly released 2024 Annual Report and Lantern Program Transparency Report.
