The NDAA’s 2025 National Recruitment & Retention Symposium will be held on September 4-5, 2025, at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois.  This event will feature a series of sessions aimed at addressing key challenges and strategies in recruitment and retention within the prosecution field.  

Topics include:

• The data and trends behind recruitment & retention issues.   
• Proactive engagement at the high school, college and law school levels.  
• Formal onboarding and how it can support retention.   
• Building resiliency in your workforce.   
• Developing a mentorship program to promote professional development, skills building and long-lasting employees.   
• Expanding your networks to broaden recruitment efforts.   
• The importance of wellbeing and the interplay with retention efforts.   
• Meeting the needs of the current workforce.

Eligibility: 

NDAA’s mission is to serve and support prosecutors and their staff. In consideration of this commitment, NDAA requires that all those in attendance of our programs currently work in or work closely with prosecution: NDAA invites prosecutors, investigators, victim advocates, witness coordinators, paralegals and other professional support staff in local, state, tribal, federal and military government attorneys’ offices, as well as law enforcement and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Please submit all requests to NDAA in writing via email to training@ndaajustice.org. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made 30 calendar days prior to the first day of the NDAA event to receive a full refund. Full refunds cannot be approved for requests received after this date. Should you need to cancel your registration less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the event, a 75% refund will be granted with a written request. NDAA regrets that refunds/credit will not be given for cancellations within 14 days of the event or for no-shows. However, substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Should another office member want to attend the course in your place please contact training@ndaajustice.org.
