June 3 - 5, 2024

Louisville, KY

Prosecuting homicides gets more complex daily with innovations in science and technology. The challenges for law enforcement, prosecutors, and other criminal justice professionals is expanding constantly! From no-body cases to cold cases, from the ever-changing technology to updated sciences, and from finding the suspect and conducting the interview to conducting the trial, prosecutors need the training to organize and prepare their cases. Prosecutors need to be ready to combat the myriad of defense attacks and new defenses, the ability to present their evidence, and the skills to confront and cross-examine the defendant’s experts and the defendants.

NDAA is bringing together seasoned faculty, including experienced prosecutors, investigators, scientific experts, and forensic experts as they provide effective techniques and strategies that will increase your ability to successfully prosecute your homicides.

Tentative Topics Include:

• Anatomy of a Homicide Prosecution
• Arson & Homicides
• Science Based Interviewing
• Alexa – The New Silent Witness
• DNA & the Science Today
• Vehicle Technologies
• No Body Homicides
• Leveraging Grant Funds For Cold Cases
• Cold Case Homicides
• The Visual Trial – Worth a 1000 Words
