Monday Tech Talks: National Internet Safety Month Webinar Series
90-minute Webinar
June 9, 2025
2:00 - 3:30 pm ET
June is National Internet Safety Month.
As part of the NDAA’s commitment to bolstering online safety for children we are bringing you a series of webinars in the month of June to provide law enforcement, prosecutors, their investigators and other members of the prosecution team with a comprehensive understanding of how to work with and gather digital evidence from a variety of digital platforms. We are also highlighting the work being done by non-governmental organizations and other organizations to protect children online. This series has been made possible with the support of Kodex.
On June 9, 2025, representatives from TikTok and Bumble will join us to discuss their law enforcement response programs. These sessions will cover an introduction to these platforms and their safety measures, what records are maintained, and the collaboration process to request information. Attendees will learn about the types of data available, and each platform’s safety initiatives.
TikTok is a social media platform that allows users to create, edit, and share short videos. It was launched in 2026 by the technology company ByteDance. Its mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy enabling users to express themselves and share their passions through video. The app hosts user-submitted videos ranging from a few seconds to up to 60 minutes in length.
Bumble Inc. is the parent company of Bumble, Badoo, Bumble For Friends, and Geneva. The Bumble platform enables people to build healthy and equitable relationships, through kind connections. Founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd in 2014, Bumble was one of the first dating apps built with women at the center and connects people across dating (Bumble Date), friendship (Bumble For Friends) and professional networking (Bumble Bizz).
We will also hear from Know2Protect, a Department of Homeland Security national public awareness campaign to educate and empower children, teens, parents, trusted adults and policymakers to:
- Prevent and combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Explain how to report online enticement and victimization.
- Offer resources for victims and survivors and their supporters.
