Session 4: Prosecuting Serious and Violent Offenses

Summary: This module explains what types of juvenile offenders go on to commit serious and violent offenses. The research also covers risk factors for gang involvement and research-based practices for gang interdiction and family-based treatments. A discussion of the current rise in violent cases among juveniles nationally will also take place and possible interventions, including law enforcement community building, will be discussed.
